Yay! Weekend!

Parents inc to visit, drop off my food processor and help me put together the rest of my furniture. I've come to the conclusion that this is the only way it'll get done. Perhaps now someone will watch the first season of Battlestar Galactica? That's ok, I won't hold my breath.

I keep tossing out smiles and goodness on Lavalife, but like all things, it will happen in its own time, and it's just too soon to expect anything. Of course, I am an optimist (no really), so I have to bring in some of my patent pending pessimism to balance. Lavalife has presented me with a large number of choices, and contrary to how I've gone through life before, I am trying to make the most of it.

One thing I notice a lot of the women on Lavalife are looking for attractive men. This begs the question, what is attractive? More to the point, how am I to know what someone else considers attactive? Hell, what do I consider attractive? Yes, it's cliché but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, poor writing is extremely unattractive. I am appalled by the poor spelling and grammar that many demonstrate. Nothing will cause me to move on to the next one faster than someone who says, "i werk at blah blah" or they can't form a decent, logical paragraph.

Anyways, the sea is vast and there are many fish. I'll get a bite sooner or later, and though I may have to catch and release, it's the very act of fishing that I'm excited about.
