Pizza d'oh!

Well, I'm tired of the cold, slimy, mushy and overly expensive pizza I've been getting from the places around my apartment so I've resolved to start making my own. So, for my first attempt at pizza dough I'll be using this recipe which I scammed off the cook at work:

5 cups flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 large egg
1 cup warm water
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp yeast

1) Beat egg and add to warm water, oil and yeast. Mix up and let froth.
2) mix together 4 cups, sugar and salt. Reserve some flour for mixing and being used on the counter when rolling out.
3) Add the wet to the dry and mix. Add in extra flour so the dough is easier to work with.
4) Cover and let rise double (about 1 hour).
5) Divide dough and roll out.

It should make two medium pizza pans, apparently. Though I'd probably divide it into 3 or 4 sections, since I really like thin crust.

I think I'll need to check on how long it needs to cook though.

Good luck with your dough. Yeast breads have always been a flop for me, I've been meaning to keep working on them but I'm lazy. ;) I had much better luck with sourdough until I killed my starter by leaving it for a couple of months without feeding in the refrigerator. ;)
