And lo did he pronounce the new Bond good

I really do like Daniel Craig as Bond. Each incarnation of the infamous spy has brought something different to the table. Sean Connery is the original and still the yardstick. Roger Moore, while a complete prat, brought more gadgets and less talent. Hell, Grace Jones out acted him in View to a Kill. Now that's saying something. George Lazenby had Mrs. Emma Peel as his Bond girl.
*sigh* Would you like some champagne, mum?

Ahem. Continuing on, the late eighties brought Timothy Dalton some arsehole who is better off forgotten, like his career. The series was revived by Pierce Brosnan, and a new M played by Dame Judi Dench. While Pierce was good, Judi owned every scene shes in and I'm glad she's still part of the franchise. She gets to say lines like this:

M: How did you find my apartment?
Bond: The same way I found out your first name. I just asked around. I always thought M was a randomly assigned initial, I had no idea it stood for...
M: If you utter one more syllable, I'll have you killed.

So, now we have Daniel Craig, and while he was in Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie, don't hold that against him. Check out L4yer Cake and you'll see what he can really do. Thus far, Craig has shown that being Bond isn't based on your hair colour, but is instead a state of mind.

Bartender: Shaken or stirred?
Bond: Do I look like I give a damn?

I really enjoyed the new Bond. I'm a huge 007 geek and I have always been a fan of Connery. I agree with you on Moore, Dalton and Bronsan (Goldeneye was an amazing comback for 007). Daniel Craig is a terrific new look and feel for James Bond. He's still a "superhero" but now he seems more real. Kind of like the changes to Batman in the Dark Knight graphic novels (okay I'm showing both my age and geekiness :P).

I agree with you, the "shaken or stirred... do I look like I give a damn..." line was classic!
