Yay! Wii-kend!

It's been an interesting wii-k. From a first date to noise complaints to 5 consecutive days of the gym. As I mentioned before the first date seemed to go very well, and we've chatted a couple times online as well as on the phone. The second date is a little problematic to schedule but interest level is fairly high, or at least it seems to be. Que sera sera, I suppose. I'm hopeful and optimistic though. =)

I was able to get a sound level meter from one of my fellow geeks. You know, just to make sure I wasn't completely off my rocker. My readings fall between 55 and 75 dB, which ranges from normal conversation to highway traffic at 100 ft. Obviously, I've been completely irresponsible here, and am harming my own hearing in addition to disturbing my neighbours. To resolve this, I'm writing a letter to the landlords, which would probably drop the temperature in Hell a few degrees. Thanks to RJA, RK and Nail for help with the editing and clarifications.

I've managed to go to the gym every day this week. Here's hoping I can keep up the pace. Compared to previous visits, I'm focusing a little more on weight lifting which keeps my mind more active than just standing on a treadmill and trying not to fall off. The one thing I hate about this is that my laundry effectively doubles, since I use my own towels (2 bucks a towel at the gym), and well, I need other clean garments after the workout and shower.

Finally, I'm about to head out to the store. I need to get some baking supplies. Darklight is running a marathon scrapbook session in support of her entrance into the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. The overall goal is to raise three grand, and by doing so, she'll get to get to walk 60 kilometers (37.5miles) over two days as part of that weekend. Yeah, I think she's nuts too. Insanity aside, it's a good cause, so please consider helping out. Oh, and the baking? Yeah, I promised lemon squares and cookies. And I don't even have to perform a secret dance.

End transmission.

Ser, ma man!

1) Kudos on the professional approach to solving the whole "noise" issue. I still think Achy breaky was the way to go, but hey... :)

2) Good job on the whole gym thing. I'm proud of ya.

3) I read your blog religiously and I've never received a lemon square from you -- ever. I'm keeping track of how many I should be owed (one per comment?)! :)

Yeah, well... I've gotta work off the ginger sparklers, lemon squares and other various sundry sweets that I sample. =)

Glad to hear it was a success. =)
