Next!

Well, I dropped a line. I got a response. It was short and terse. I moved on.

Perhaps I'm not familiar with the etiquette of lavalife, but I do know that I'd rather talk to them in person, than I would online since the situation allows it. I'm also not going to put up with playing hard to get. I'll be up front, honest, and direct. You know... myself.

That isn't to say I'm not willing to persue. I'm quite happy to do so, but well, I need clues that lead me along the path of pursuit. This felt like someone pulling the equivalent of jumping into the river to lose the scent and scattering cayenne pepper behind them. Sure, I'll bark and howl a bit but I'll be damned if I keep sniffing that ground.

The best part about being trite and banal is that I can take solace in the cliches. So, Mr. Dean Martin I thank you for yours. edit - Ok, Doris Day.

Que sera sera.
Whatever will be will be.
The futures not ours to see.
Que sera sera.

I found where you came from. And just by coincidence! Feel free to send me flowers.

Oh, and by the way, lavalife sucks. People there are snobs. I recommend plentyoffish and casualkiss. Much friendlier.

You're always best being who you are than pretending to be some way that you aren't. People who play emotional games suck IMO. ;) I'm the logical type myself that can't stand people who don't say what they mean and mean what they say. Hope that it goes better for you on there.
