The question, Raymond, is what did you want to be?

Well, it's likely that I'll never be a Master Zorba Dance instructor. I'm ok with that. I can sit, eat bougatsa and enjoy watching someone else who is. I don't want to be a Front Store Manager for SDM. My brother's already headed down that path, and well, that would just reek of jealousy for me to do the same.

At one time I wanted to be a paramedic, and a big part of me still does, but I take my job far too seriously to partake in something that actually involves life and death. Not that I wouldn't be good at it, but I don't think I'd be able to deal with the really bad days. At least not a lot of them, in rapid succession.

So, the question remains. I was mistaken RJA. Some answers aren't easy.

I'm a little reticent right now, since I'm basically recharging. Work and life have drained my batteries, and I need to try to recharge them. Oddly enough, I am looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, as I'll see my friends again. We'll laugh and curse and cast our own views on things and get through the day.

And hopefully see Snakes on a Plane.

I had similar thoughts about being a paramedic/firefighter when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, and had similar doubts to yours. I would imagine that it's really stressful to have people's lives in your hands, but you also make such a difference. It's hard to find many jobs where what you do is so important.
