Sometimes I Sits and Thinks...
and sometimes, I just sits. For a bear of very little brain, he really was quite wise.
It's interesting to watch the "World Credit Crisis" unfold. Though perhaps unravel is the appropriate word, as this all seems to be quite the Gordian knot that's been tied for us.
While I can't fix it, I can learn what it means to manage my money so that 30-35 years down the road, when I'm ready to retire there will be something there to retire on. And in the short term, I'd like for there to be money to cover a down payment on a house, put kids through school or take care of Serdmom and Serddad when they're old and senile (around the middle of next week =)). I really don't know anything, but I'm going to learn.
Anyways, I'm down at the Funny Farm visiting the inmates... er parents, and the Singer's folks too. Happy Thanksgiving/Columbus Day!

It's good to see that you're still around and kicking, silly old bear. :) If you're looking for advice on financial management, I humbly suggest reading Dave Ramsey's books. It's been a good guide for me in my quest to become a financial grown-up. I also download the free podcast from iTunes and listen to it every day at work. Hope you enjoy your visit. :)
