The Waiting Game
So, I'm on the waitlist. In fact, I'm waiting for a number of things:
1) My English mark to be finalized. I'm told this will take 3 weeks to a month, from when I wrote the exam (December 12).
2) I'm waiting for movement in the program registration in order to be admitted. Quite simply, this is a numbers game. If x >=y, where X is the number of students leaving and Y is the set of students including me, waiting to get in, then I'll be in the program. If, however, x < y, then I won't get in.
All I can do is have a solid plan B (C and D).
Plan B:
Take the courses through part time and distance education. In order to do this in a reasonable amount of time, I'd have to get an exemption from the maximum number of courses. For the first four months, I'd focus on school. After that, I would start looking for some part time bookkeeping/accounting and work on courses in the evening.
The summary of all this is nothing is going to be decided until the new year, and probably not until after school starts, officially.
