Istanbul (not Constantinople)
We were once so close to Heaven
Peter came out and gave us medals
Declaring us, the nicest of the damned
- They Might Be Giants, "Flood"
Two posts in one day... inconceivable!
Anyways, I figured that after being morally indignant about someone taking the elevator one floor, I should put my money where my mouth is. I did another climb this evening, though just once. I think that made up for his laziness.
I finally got my hands on They Might Be Giants best album ever, Flood. It's a favourite of mine for a lot of reasons, not all of them artistic. It has their classics, Istanbul (not Constantinople), Particle Man and Road Movie to Berlin. But most importantly, I have the CD case but I'll be damned if I can find the CD itself. Lord, how I missed this album.
Finally, I took a whack at butter tarts tonight. Better to whack my food processor in frustration as I messed up with the pastry. I used to add too little water, which was a pain to roll but it was managable if tedious.
Well, if you add too much water, then the dough tears and sticks and sticks and tears, and no matter how much flour you add, you can't seem to recover. Ahh, hubris, once again my downfall.
