Preparation

The time until the CN tower climb is rapidly dwindling, and my preparations continue. I know absolutely that I will get up the tower, it's just a matter of time. Oddly enough, I plan to continue climbing the stairs after the tower is done, if for no other reason than I have no excuse to avoid them. They're literally right outside my apartment and I don't even have to worry about going out in the rain. My goal would be to climb my building once, without stopping.

Last evening was a light evening for climbing. I climbed twice, but walked down between the runs. My legs felt like Jello when I was finished. The previous night, I climbed four times in total. There were three consecutive climbs, with a short break to retrieve the laundry and hang it up. That's 90% of the CN tower, depending on who you ask.

I know that the CN tower is 113 stories and 1776 steps. Inside the tower there are 144 flights of stairs. My building is 70 metres high and the CN Tower is 398. Regardless of how you look at it, I have to climb my building approximately 5 times in order to equal the tower. And while I'll probably not do that before Saturday, I know that with a proper pace and ample time, I'll make it to the top.

And really, that's victory right there.

Whatever. I'm just glad you agree we can be one of those couples that doesn't have to do everything together. ;-)

Yes, yes. Very proud. You're going to kick some ass.
