132 Posts and 1 Year Later
It's been a good year thus far. I've had my share of highs and lows, but today is the one year anniversary of this blog. I've certainly travelled a great distance since I first posted and began my foray into online dating.
I learned a lot of lessons, and this time, they actually stuck. That's mostly in thanks to a lot of friends who supported me, encouraged me and offered the benefits of their wisdom. It made the getting back up that much easier, and I learned that these rejections really are small falls and they don't hurt all that much.
Because of my friends, I've found a great gal (again), who doesn't werk (sic) at Dunkin Donuts and is close enough that we're actually able to work on a relationship and make it work. I certainly didn't think I'd be making actual real plans to live with someone else when I started this blog a year ago. I'm optimistic about our future together, but I also know that right now is just as important and the future will come in its own good time.
I've documented a lot of recipes and entertainment efforts. I've grown as a baker and cook, and look forward to further efforts. And while I don't blog about my work, being able to understand and document my personal failures and triumphs has allowed me to figure out what it is I want professionally and go after it.
Lets see how this next year turns out. I know I've a few recipes to post in the coming days.

Yeah, but I've heard that great gal is also a crazy lady. Good luck with her!
Happy anniversary, honey!
The craziest!!!!!
Thanks. =)
Happy anniversary man! Congrats on a great year and best wishes for an even better one to come.
Awww, you guys rock (/sniffel)! Good luck on the move. Gratz on the anniversary, and really, all that you accomplished this year.
Cheers and hugs!
P.S. Singer, shouldn't you be reading? Only 2 hours and 52 minutes until I can go pick up my copy. whoooeeee!
Well, we just got back from getting teh (sic) Harry Potter! Went to a local drugstore along with the Singer's sister and brother-in-law (BiL).
What a mad house, but a luck was with us as they dropped the books right by BiL's feet. He managed to quickly secure two copies, and we were on the way out. Total time, about 30 min. 10 minutes waiting, and 20 minutes at checkout.
She's now slowly wending her way to the first pages, after a certain amount of excitement over the Cataloguing in Publication (CIP) number, which one of her collegues had generated.
Anyways, she's happy and nobody shouted out spoilers. I'm happy for her, and am glad I was able to take part in this event.
"Tlar" just left to pick up my copy at the local used bookstore. Gotta love the fact that there are more used bookstores here, than new book sellers in ABQ. I love giving old books a new home. I also love bringing new books home.
So, the question is ... how long will the Singer read tonight. Bet she stays up much longer than I do. I am already a pumpkin ...
Cheers, happy reading!
...not only a good year for blogging, but also the new friends you made in the "cirlce".
...you know - people like that charismatic Greek guy. ;)
Congratulations on your blogiversary. And congratulations, too, on finding a wonderful girl. Take care of the singer. She is a treasure. Not that I need to tell you that!
Poke poke poke ... you there? ;)
I'm with dex. Ever since you got a girlfriend your blog has been seriously lacking in updates. One would think you'd have MORE to talk about!
We miss you, dude.
Yes, she's doing much better with hers than you are with yours. What gives? ;)
Awwwww honey I'm happy for you.
