Approaching Normalcy
Thanks to everybody who came out to our little soiree last evening. We've got some great and very generous friends, who overlooked the few boxes we weren't able to unpack/hide/disguise as sushi. From my side of the invite list, we were graced by /dev/null and britgal, RJA, The Dutch Nasty and much better half, JP and of course, Darklight who looked fabulous.
After all the running around we did, it was nice to fall into bed last night and not have to get up with an alarm. Something we won't be able to do again (together for a little bit). I did finally get my own computer set up, and networked today. Wirless and USB Networking, two great technologies that prevent me from having to string wires all over the bloody place. I was quite surprised how easily things were set up. So now, I have an 802.11G network set up, protected by WPA. I have no idea what that means, but I'm currently downloading Half Life 2: Episode 2, so it's all good.
The afternoon topped off with dinner at Royal Treasure, where they make a mean General Tao's chicken, as well as a lovely walk along Bronson and MacLaren. We even managed to sneak into the Superstore on the way home. Our coffee maker gave up the ghost, and well... we needed a new one. Here's hoping it exceeds its reviews.
It seems that we're sliding into fall, and I really don't remember where spring went. It seems like we've been moved in for ages now, and our housewarming seems to have happened the day after our Canada Day party.
Tempus Fugit.
