A little bit of Magic

Well, I put together my own Magic deck for our games. We'll see how that works out. Nail and I slipped up to The Wizard's Tower last night, where I picked up a couple of core set theme decks. That should give me a bit of variety to play with, though I'll sure miss pulling out the Pyrrhic victory with Hurricane. At any rate, the cards won't go stale since it's Magic night on Thursday, and probably at my place again. I'm thinking... stew, or possibly spaghetti. We'll see.

After the little shopping excursion, I stopped in at Phnom Penh for dinner. C6 and a spring rolls, no peanuts. As Shiv is coming to town this week, I'm sure that I'll be back there again in the near future. I did have a chance to talk with the owner for a while. Formerly an Alcatel employee, he started the restaurant on the side. The day he got laid off, he came back to the restaurant and worked. Now, he's branching out into the importing business. The salient point being, always have a backup.

It was some food for thought as I mull things over. Anyways, the day is grey, rainy and all kinds of blah. Here's hoping this afternoon is a little better.
