We're gonna need a bigger pot
Once again, I'm hosting Magic night, which is cool. This time, I'm doing up some jambalaya. As we're not in Louisiana, exceptions had to be made as I was unable to procure decent andouille and chorizo. So, the ever faithful keilbasa has subbed in.
I spent the evening getting things to the point where I can come home tomorrow, add the rice, do a quick tidy up of the apartment and be ready to go! As you can see below, we'll certainly not want for food. Also note, the lack of rice in the pot, which will cause the volume to swell by half again.
No problem. I just need to transfer things to my stock pot.
I noticed a rather large dent on my stock pot this evening, right down at the base. This has caused some of the enamel to come off the interior of the pot. I need a new stock pot, so that'll be my lunchtime mission tomorrow. I'll also have to remember to get some paper napkins, as I'm completely out (still).

a) Quit using the napkins as a replacement for Kleenex. :)

Looks more like Gumbo to me. ;) I'm glad you're having fun playing Magic, it got too expensive for me. We were card packet junkies. :)
Once the rice got added, it expanded halfway up my new 16qt stock. I had 7 meals worth of leftovers, after all was said and done. I've given 4 away.
