Monday, Monday
I wish it was Sunday! Well, not really. Magic and Pasghetti was had by those who showed. It was a great way to end an otherwise annoying day, as I had to unpack my cubicle before being able to even attempt work. Not that I was really in a rush. Once everything was unpacked, I had to leave the building and return. Sort of like getting a fresh start on the day. Yes it's mental, and so am I. I did try out a Pumpkin Spice latte from Starbucks, and was rather disappointed. Wasn't what I was expecting, I guess.
Oh well, the gingerbread lattes will soon be here. Those are my crack, and really the only reason I'll go to Starbucks.
The afternoon saw a trip to the Superstore (my first), with Foran_object and RJA who was the ever eager tour guide. 45 minutes passed without notice as impulse buy after impulse buy occured. Not by me, as all I needed was some pasta, bread and parmesan cheese. Foran_object purchased a multitude of snacky delights, including some really good strawberries. I really need to get back to the gym.
The rest of the afternoon passed and I slipped on home to make the spaghetti sauce, which turned out quite well, but still not as good as Serdad's. One of these days.
In the meantime, I'm pondering requesting a second date. Not so much whether or not, but when and how. Invariably, I'll just toss all the advice to the wind and do what I was gonna do anyways, and that's drop a line tomorrow night (ed. Or do what I have done and asked first thing in the morning). She mentioned she likes Asian food, so I'm prepared to embarass myself with chopsticks. I'll have to remember to wear a dark shirt, as it will end up stained with General Tao's chicken and Hot and Sour soup, I'm sure. It's physically impossible for me to eat anything in a restaurant and not end up wearing it. Part of the Serdic charm. =)

Date #2?! That's so exciting!
Was it you I answered the question about cheese for yesterday through Ryan?
No, that was Foran_object but I did get the answer anyways. =)
I'm loathe to phone her right now, mostly because I don't know her schedule. While I love talking on the phone, I hate voicemail. =)
Cowboy up and call her. It's been 3 days, you're clear to call. Do it!
There's totally a 3 day rule! Watch "Swingers" lol She's a little bunny and you're a big bear with big claws... RAWR! :P
Ask her to dinner. Asian/Pan-Asain since she said she likes that kind of food. No movie. Movies are horrible early dates since you can't talk.
PS. A good closing line to the first couple dates is "I had a lot of fun, we should do this again sometime..." It's kind of a soft sell approach to getting the next date.
Well, I've asked and she's answered. The date is being set up in the near future. It'll be chinese food on Somerset, somewhere. I like Asian and she likes Asian, so even if the date is a bust, we'll have a decent dinner.
She seems to be taking it slow, and I'm in no rush anyways.
Depending on how dinner goes, we may go for a walk. Maybe check out the various stores along Somerset. I'd love to get some good fish oil and curry paste. Alternately there's a movie or we could go play pool.
It's a fair bet that I won't be beating her at DDR though.
