Mmmmwings!
What's so special about today you'll ask? Well, for one... it was a snowy crappy ride to work, and a snowy crappy ride home. The showers at the gym are being reconstructed, and so is the cafeteria at work. We had a power outage at work, and there are certain annoying people who are more concerned with me being single on Valentine's Day than I am.
It's the kind of cheery, keep your chin up attitude that they harp on for 5 minutes that makes me want to smack them upside their gob. Once is fine and very appreciated, but to drone ad nauseum... well, Ghandi would have lost it. Nonviolence be damned, and we'd see little man in the loin cloth renacting the Valentine's Day massacre. How's that for imagery?
I plan to celebrate Valentine's Day in my own way, by drinking beer and eating chicken wings. I've never been to this place before but damn, it's got a lot of variety!!! While I'm perfectly comfortable eating on my own, RJA has accepted my invitation as has his friend Adam Janicantbloodyspellit. Also joining us will be the guy who rides with me, Maqe (turn it upside down). Four is a great number, especially for guys going out to dinner on Valentine's Day, especially in the light of recent damning photographs.
It's also my nana's Birthday, and that was the shortest call ever. Christ, she's 82 this year. She's lived through the Blitz, raised four kids, lost her husband, been an activist, forgotten more about baking than I can ever hope to know, and she's my nana. I don't mind it when she calls me B, because I'm her first grandson.

Finally, here's a hug for Alex! Happy V-Day!
